Brendan Ashdown along with Adam Stewart have won an appeal before the WA Court of Appeal. 

In Hoffmans v Ahmed [2021] WASCA 210 (delivered 9 December 2021), the Court of Appeal was called on to decide:

– the nature and extent of what an indorsement of claim must contain;

– the effects of a defective indorsement and particularly the impact upon limitation questions; and

– whether the deficiency can be cured by amendment without resulting in the introduction of a new cause of action.
